Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang
Arrive at Luang Prabang Airport and transfer to your hotel. Free time to rest and relax.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 2: Luang Prabang City Tour
Explore Luang Prabang on foot and discover its traditional streets, local houses, French colonial buildings, and old Chinese shop houses.
Visit Wat Sene, Wat Xiengthong, Heuan Chan, the Royal Palace Museum, and Wat Mai. In the late afternoon, climb Mount Phousi for views over the city and Mekong River. End the day at the Luang Prabang Night Market.

Day 3: Ban Longlao – Kuang Si Waterfall
Drive to Ban Xeng Mouk and start the trek through Khmu and Hmong villages. Walk through rice fields, vegetable gardens, and forest, with a stop at a historic wartime cave.
Continue to the springs of Kuang Si Waterfall and enjoy a local lunch. Spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing by the turquoise pools. You can also visit the nearby bear conservation center before returning to Luang Prabang.
Approximately 2 hours driving and 3 hours trekking.
Day 4: Alms Giving – Nahm Dong Park – Hillside Ecolodge
Wake early to see the traditional morning alms giving ceremony and visit the local morning market.
Continue to Nahm Dong Park for a zipline experience through the jungle. Walk along forest trails, small streams, natural pools, and bridges. Enjoy a picnic lunch with views over the surrounding area.
In the afternoon, relax at the park before walking to Hillside Ecolodge for your overnight stay.
Day 5: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou – Nong Khiaw
Take a boat along the Mekong River and enjoy the green forests, villages, and limestone mountains. Visit the Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha statues.
Continue by road to Nong Khiaw. In the afternoon, walk to Phathok Cave, a former wartime shelter, through rice fields and countryside. Enjoy sunset views over the Nam Ou River.

Day 6: Nam Ou River – 100 Waterfalls
Take a boat along the Nam Ou River and visit a small riverside village. Learn about local life before starting the 100 Waterfalls Adventure Trail.
Walk through rice fields, streams, and forest to reach the waterfalls. Enjoy a local lunch surrounded by green nature and waterfall pools.
Return through a village trail with views over the Nam Ou Valley before taking the boat back to Nong Khiaw.
Approximately 20-minute transfer, 4-hour trek, and 2-hour boat trip.
Day 7: Nong Khiaw – Muang Hiam
Drive through rural northern Laos via Vieng Kham to Muang Hiam. The route follows quiet roads through mountain scenery and local villages.
After arrival, check in to the guesthouse and explore the village on foot. If time allows, visit the nearby hot spring and enjoy a relaxing soak.
Approximately 170 km and 4–5 hours by road.
Day 8: Muang Hiam – Ban Son Khua – Nam Nern Night Safari
Transfer to Ban Son Khua and continue to Nam Et-Phou Louey National Protected Area.
Take a long-tail boat along the Nam Nern River and learn about local farming, medicinal plants, wildlife conservation, and the history of the Secret War.
After lunch, join the Nam Nern Night Safari. Walk near a salt lick with a local tracker, then enjoy dinner by the river. After dark, travel quietly by boat to look for wildlife such as deer, civets, otters, slow loris, porcupines, and owls.
Overnight in a jungle bungalow.
Day 9: Nam Nern – Sam Neua
Start the morning with a jungle walk to learn about medicinal plants and the history of the area.
After breakfast, take a quiet boat ride back to the village and try traditional Lao Hai rice wine. Continue by road to Sam Neua.
Visit the Nam Sam River Promenade, Wat Phoxaysanalam, local weaving houses, and the market selling Houaphanh textiles, bamboo products, and local foods.
Overnight in Sam Neua.
Day 10: Sam Neua – Viengxay – Sam Neua
Drive to Viengxay and explore its limestone landscape and historic caves.
The caves of Viengxay formed a hidden underground city during the war. They once included homes, schools, hospitals, markets, a radio station, and government offices.
Take the audio tour to learn about the history of the cave city and the people who lived there. Return to Sam Neua in the late afternoon.

Day 11: Sam Neua – Muang Kham
Travel to Muang Kham, known for its hot springs. Along the way, visit the Hin Tang archaeological site with its ancient standing stones and burial sites.
Arrive in Muang Kham in the afternoon and check in to your hotel near the hot spring. Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing.

Day 12: Muang Kham Leisure Day
Enjoy a free day in Muang Kham. Explore the village, walk around the local area, or relax at the hot spring and swimming pool.

Day 13: Muang Kham – Xieng Khuang – Plain of Jars
Transfer to Phonsavanh, the capital of Xieng Khuang Province.
Visit Plain of Jars Site 1, the largest site near the town, with its large ancient stone jars. Follow the marked paths because of unexploded bombs and landmines in the area.
Continue to the UXO Information Centre to learn about the impact of unexploded ordnance in Laos. Later, explore the local town.
Overnight in Xieng Khuang.
Day 14: Xieng Khuang – Muang Khoun – Phou Khao Khuay
Visit the Central Market of Phonsavanh in the morning before heading south.
Stop at Muang Khoun, the former provincial capital, to see the large Buddha statue, old pagodas, and the remains of Wat Pia Wat.
Continue to Paksan and then travel to Ban Hatkhay, the gateway to Phou Khao Khuay National Park. Stay at a simple homestay overlooking the Nam Mang River.

Day 15: Phou Khao Khuay – Nam Pien Yorla Pa
Explore Phou Khao Khuay National Park with a French orchid specialist and local guides.
Start the Orchid Trek at Pha Say and walk through forest trails with views over a deep gorge. Learn about orchids, forest plants, medicinal plants, and local wildlife.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the forest before continuing to Tad Say Waterfall. Later, transfer to Nam Pien Yorla Pa inside the national park and enjoy the sunset.

Day 16: Nam Pien Yorla Pa Leisure Day
Enjoy a free day to explore the park and relax at Nam Pien Yorla Pa.
Optional activities include ziplining, roller sliding, and flying bridges. Activities are subject to park conditions and availability.

Day 17: Nam Pien Yorla Pa – Tha Ngon – Vientiane
Enjoy a relaxed morning before travelling to Vientiane by a local backroad route. Stop at local villages along the way to see daily life.
In Tha Ngon, enjoy a lunch cruise along the Nam Ngum River. Continue to Vientiane and visit Dong Markhai Market, where local people buy and exchange daily goods.
Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 18: Vientiane – Buddha Park – Departure
Visit Wat Si Muang before driving to Buddha Park, also known as Xieng Khuan, with more than 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues.
Continue to That Luang, the most important religious site in Laos. Then visit Patuxai for views over Vientiane.
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
